Eugene Notz
Eugen Notz OCist (born January 10, 1857 in Reichenhofen , † August 4, 1917 in Mehrerau ) was a Cistercian and abbot of the Private Abbey Wettingen-Mehrerau in Mehrerau near Bregenz.
Life
When Joseph Notz born, he joined after graduation in the Cistercian -Stift Mehrerau and received at the investiture of his abbot after Bl. Pope Eugene III. the religious name Eugene. He made his profession on October 18, 1874 .
He was ordained a priest on July 13, 1879, and 14 days later celebrated his primacy . Notz was on October 2, 1902 as the successor to Augustin Lodges Abbot of Wettingen chosen in March 1903 this election was confirmed and on 19 April 1903 he was awarded by Bishop Dominic Willi the abbatial blessing .
