Eugen Reuter (born January 22, 1885 in Schramberg ; † July 4, 1955 in Karlsruhe ) was a German politician ( center , BCSV , CDU ).

Life

After attending primary school, Reuter completed a commercial apprenticeship from 1899 to 1903 and then worked as an employee in the textile industry. In addition, he was a union member. From 1908 to 1919 he was secretary of the Christian textile workers' association in Düsseldorf . He joined the Center Party and was its General Secretary in Württemberg from 1919 to 1933 . From 1928 to 1934 he was a city ​​councilor in Stuttgart . During and after the National Socialist era , he worked as an innkeeper and hotelier in Ötigheim .

After the Second World War , Reuter joined the BCSV, which later became the Baden regional association of the CDU. In 1945 he became mayor of Ötigheim and remained so until his death. From 1946 to 1947 he was a member of the Advisory State Assembly of the State of Baden and from 1947 to 1952 a member of the Baden State Parliament .
