Europorte is a privately owned French freight railroad company owned by Getlink . The company was founded in 2009 when Eurotunnel took over the French parts of Veolia Cargo , the freight transport division of Veolia Transport , from the large company Veolia . The other parts of Veolia Cargo, including Captrain Germany , went to SNCF Geodis . The subsidiary Europorte Channel offers freight transport through the Eurotunnel , GB Railfreight is active in the British freight transport, Europorte France in the French. Socorail operates industrial and port railways (of which 202 km in Dunkirk ), Europorte Proximité operates a workshop and 80 km route at Gray (Haute-Saône) , and Bourgogne Fret Services transports grain from Venarey-les-Laumes to Port-Saint-Louis- du-Rhône .
