Eusebius John Crawford OP (born December 4, 1917 in Warrenpoint , Ireland ; † May 31, 2002 ) was Bishop of Gizo , Solomon Islands .

Life

Eusebius John Crawford joined the Dominican Order and was ordained a priest on March 29, 1941 .

John XXIII appointed him on March 1, 1960 as Vicar Apostolic of the Western Solomon Islands and Titular Bishop of Caffa . The Pope personally donated him episcopal ordination on May 8 of the same year ; Co -consecrators were Napoléon-Alexandre Labrie CIM , Former Bishop of Golfe St-Laurent , and Fulton John Sheen , Auxiliary Bishop in New York .

Paul VI raised the Apostolic Vicariate to a diocese on November 15, 1966 and appointed him Bishop of Gizo . On February 3, 1995, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
