Evaldas Pašilis

Evaldas Pašilis (born October 13, 1973 in Telšiai district ) is a Lithuanian lawyer, public prosecutor , since December 29, 2015 Prosecutor General of Lithuania, head of the Lithuanian Prosecutor General , former judge .

Life

After graduating from secondary school , Pašilis completed his bachelor's degree in law at the Lietuvos policijos akademija in Vilnius in 1994 . In 1998 he graduated from the Law Faculty of Vilnius University with a degree in law.

From August 1994 to May 1997 he was the junior inspector in the economic crimes investigation service at the Ukmergė District Police Department and from May 1997 to February 1999 as an inspector at the Vilnius District Operations and Interrogation Office in the Mokesčių policijos departamentas at the Ministry of Interior of Lithuania . From March 1999 to February 2000, he was a candidate for judge at the Ukmergė District Court . From September 2003 to July 2004 he taught at the Ukmergė Higher Business School. From April 2000 to December 2015 he worked as a judge and from July 2007 to July 2012 as the court president in Ukmergė . He continued his education in Barcelona and Trier . On December 29, 2015, he became the Prosecutor General of Lithuania (appointed by President Dalia Grybauskaitė ).

Pašilis is married and has two children.

Pašilis speaks Russian and English.
