The Evangelical Lutheran deanery in Ingolstadt is one of the eight deaneries of the Regensburg church district . Gabriele Schwarz and Thomas Schwarz are currently dean. 59,000 Protestant Christians live in 19 parishes in the deanery district. There are eight municipalities in Ingolstadt and two in Neuburg an der Donau . Depending on the region, the proportion of Protestants varies between 3 and 26 percent.
