History and description
The Protestant church is located on a hill on the main street of the village. The sandstone building was built in 1792 in the baroque style and replaced the old church from 1452. The tower was renewed in 1886. The oldest bell dates from 1506. Like other buildings in the village, the rent office and the castle church , the Protestant church was built by Carl Philipp von Venningen (1728–1797) and Maria Anna von Hutten zu Stolzenberg († 1781).
Furnishing
The organ was built in 1975 by the organ builder Rensch (Lauffen aN). The organ is already the third in the case of the first organ, which was built in 1806 by the organ builder Ubhauser. Only the pedal register Subbass 16 ′ still comes from this historical instrument. A few other stops come from Steinmeyer's second organ work from 1903. The instrument has 20 stops on two manual works and a pedal . The playing and stop actions as well as coupling are mechanical.
