The Evangelical Lutheran parish church of Höllrich is a village church . Höllrich is a district of Karsbach in the Lower Franconian district of Main-Spessart . The church is one of the architectural monuments of Karsbach and is registered under the number D-6-77-149-8 in the Bavarian monument list . The parish Höllrich is part of the deanery Lohr am Main .

history

The barons of Thüngen introduced the Reformation in Höllrich. In 1562 the village received its first Protestant pastor. The church was built in 1706.

description

The choir of the church with the altar is in the east. The octagonal ridge turret with an onion roof is located above the choir . The nave has a gallery running around three sides . The pulpit , designed in the same color as the balustrade of the gallery, is attached to the right of the choir arch. The organ is on the western part of the gallery. Above the choir arch you can see the alliance coat of arms of Johann Georg von Schenck zu Schweinsberg and Anna Helena Sophia von Schenk, née von Wallenstein. There are several tombs in the church, including that of Konrad von und zu Thann † 1681, a work by Jakob Faulstig from Hammelburg .
