Building history and architecture

Layout

The nave of today's church was added to the existing west tower in 1624 . Nothing is known about previous buildings at this point. It is a hall church with a three-sided choir closure . The tower bears a building inscription from 1599 and is equipped with barrel vaults .

The windows are predominantly round arched and partly decorated with tracery , at the choir they are pointed arches with fish bubble ornaments . The tower spire dates from 1888, an annex on the south side from 1927 was demolished again in 1963 as part of the fundamental renovation.

Furnishing

The furnishings include an octagonal late Gothic baptismal font , which is probably older than the church. Two epitaphs from the 16th century are on the north wall of the choir near the baptismal font. The crucifix is believed to be part of the original equipment of the church (after 1624).
