The Protestant church Reichenbach is a baroque church in Lautertal (Odenwald) . The associated parish includes the districts of Reichenbach , Elmshausen and Lautern and is the largest parish in the area with 2700 parishioners.

The church, located south-east of the Reichenbach market square on a small hill, can be reached via a staircase from the main street. Another way to get to the church is via the adjacent cemetery, which can also be used to drive cars or other vehicles directly to the church and the neighboring parish hall.
history
Reichenbach belonged to the Bensheim parish until 1430, when a separate village was formed from the villages of Elmshausen (Lautertal) , Hanrod, Grauelbach, Lautern (Lautertal) , Hohenstein, Gadernheim , Raidelbach , Breitenwiesen and Knoden . In 1556 the Reformation was carried out by Elector Ottheinrich . From a chapel, which stood on the site of today's church around 1430, a small church developed through extensions. Today's baroque church , built around 1748 with the support of the Counts of Erbach , was completely renovated in 1999 and 2000.

The historic organ of the church was built in 1873 by the Zwingenberg organ builder Rothermel. The organ's prospectus and case, however, date from 1748. The mechanically operated organ has 15 registers , divided into two manuals and a pedal . The organ has a cone chest
