Evans Rutto Chematot (born March 19, 1996 ) is a Bahraini obstacle runner of Kenyan origin.

Athletic career

Evans Chematot competed in his first international competitions at the 2013 Arab Youth Championships in Cairo , where he won over 2000 meters in obstacles, as well as at the Arab Junior Championships there the following year. At the Junior World Championships in Eugene he won the bronze medal in 8: 32.61 minutes. At the 2015 World Cross Country Championships in Guiyang , he was fifth in the junior race and won the bronze medal at the Asian Championships in Wuhan with a time of 8: 42.76 minutes. At the beginning of October he finished fourth in the Military World Games in Mungyeon, South Korea, in 8: 33.52 minutes. At the Islamic Solidarity Games 2017 in Baku he finished sixth in 8: 46.46 minutes, as well as at the Asian Games the following year in Jakarta in 8: 36.60 minutes.
