Evert Brettschneider
Evert Brettschneider (* 1951 in Oberhausen ) is a German guitarist who has emerged in both fusion jazz and new music .
Brettschneider, who initially gained musical experience in the rock band Frau Holle , studied guitar at the Folkwang University of Applied Sciences in Essen , where he passed his artistic maturity examination in 1978 . In 1974 he switched to the Contact Trio for Theo Jörgensmann , with whom he was on the road until 1984. He also played in the Krautrock band Prosper ( Broken Door ). He toured Australia and New Zealand with the Jungle Pilots in 1993.
He also took part in the performance of contemporary music (for example on Gerhard Stäbler's album Für Später: Jetzt ) and has been on numerous concert tours at home and abroad. He currently plays in the Contact 4tett with Theo Jörgensmann, Kai Kanthak and Bernd Oezsevim .
