Evge ( Ukrainian Додому Dodomu , international English-language title Homeward ) is a drama film directed by Nariman Aliev that premiered on May 22, 2019 at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival and was released in Ukrainian cinemas on November 7, 2019 .

After Mustafa lost his eldest son in the war between Russia and Ukraine , he decides to take the boy's body back to the Crimea , where he was born. Together, he and his younger son embark on a journey that will deeply shape their relationship.

The film premiered on May 22, 2019 as part of the 2019 Cannes Film Festival . On July 14, 2019, the film was shown for the first time in Ukraine at the Odesa International Film Festival. On November 7, 2019, it was released in Ukrainian cinemas. At the end of August and beginning of September 2020 it will be shown at the Five Lakes Film Festival .
