Ewald Veigel

Ewald Veigel (born July 21, 1936 in Ludwigsburg ) is a German politician of the FDP / DVP .

Life and work

After the middle tire, Veigel completed an apprenticeship for the upper, non-technical administrative service. In 1958 he passed the state examination and in 1962 he obtained the diploma. Between 1959 and 1966 he worked first for the Neckarweihingen municipal administration and then for the Kornwestheim and Asperg municipal administrations . Veigel is married and has one child.

Veigel was Mayor of Illingen from 1966 to 1994 . In 1971 he was narrowly defeated in the mayor election of Bissingen . From 1971 he belonged to the district council of the Vaihingen district or, after its dissolution, the Enzkreis . From 1974 to 1989 he was chairman of the FWV / FDP parliamentary group there.

From 1981 to 1989 Veigel was also chairman of the FDP district association Pforzheim-Enzkreis. From 1995 to 2001 he was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg . There he represented the second mandate of the constituency 44 Enz and was chairman of the petitions committee .

Honors

The municipality of Illingen granted Veigel honorary citizenship .
