Ewout Oostwouder (born November 4, 1993 in Zijpe ) is a Dutch table tennis player .

Career

Oostwouder has been playing for German Bundesliga club TTC indeland Jülich since the 2019/20 season .

The 25-year-old collected world ranking points, especially in September 2019, when he survived the group phase at the European Championships in Alicante and failed in the round of 64 to Ovidiu Ionescu . At the World Championships in Budapest in the spring, Oostwouder made it into the main field, at the European Games he reached round two.

The Dutchman has already played in North Rhine-Westphalia once : In the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons, he fought for the top of the second division with Jülich, in the end he finished third and second. Oostwouder then spent three years in Denmark, initially one season at Roskilde BTK , where he played in the Champions League in 2016/17. Oostwouder met Simon Gauzy and João Geraldo (both TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen ) as well as Dimitrij Ovtcharov and Alexey Smirnov (both Fakel Orenburg). He then moved to Næstved BTK, with the South Zealanders he was Danish runner-up last season.
