João Pedro Ferreiro Geraldo (* 29. September 1995 in Mirandela ) is a Portuguese table tennis - international , who since the season 2016/2017 for the TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen in the Table Tennis Bundesliga plays. He is Portuguese Champion of the Year 2015.
International successes and Portuguese championship 2015
Together with Tiago Apolonia , Diogo Chen , Marcos Freitas and João Monteiro won Geraldo in the 2014 European Table Tennis Championships in domestic Lisbon the gold medal in the team competition. He was not used in the final, which Portugal won 3-1 against Germany.
At the 2015 European Games in Baku , he also won gold with the Portuguese team in June, defeating France 3-1 in the final with Apolónia, Freitas and Geraldo. After victories by his two better-known colleagues, Geraldo secured gold when he defeated the Frenchman Adrien Mattenet .
Previously, in March 2015, Geraldo became National Portuguese Champion in his home country for the first time. He defeated compatriot Diogo Chen in the final in 4-2 sets (11: 4, 8:11, 11: 9, 8:11, 12:10, 11: 5).

When he moved to the new Bundesliga club ASV Grünwettersbach in 2015, he replaced the Norwegian Geir Erlandsen . Before that, after a stint at Spvgg. Hilpoltstein Ottenau, he had joined the league competitor and also second division club of TSV Bad Königshofen . One reason for his move from his hometown club Clube de Ténis de Mesa de Mirandela to Germany at a young age was the hope of improving his skill level and participating in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. In 2016 his move to Ochsenhausen was announced, from where he moved to Vaillante Angers in France in 2018.
