Exit Universe is an indie - jazz duo, consisting of the two Austrians Susana Sawoff and Raphael Meinhart.

history

Sawoff and Meinhart were a couple in private and found their music together again in 2015 after they had composed the music together for the Night of Percussion in Graz . In 2017 they founded the Duo Exit Universe; In April 2018 the debut album Because the World Is Round , a title inspired by the Beatles , was released on the German label o-tone music. The album contains 13 songs, with The Future (or the Now) previously released as a single.

Sawoff released the two solo albums Wrapped up in a Little Sigh (2012, Sevenahalf Records) and Bathtub Rituals (2015, Sevenahalf Records), which were reviewed by European radio stations. She was nominated for an Amadeus Austrian Music Award in 2007 with her band Monk and in 2009 and 2012 with her band Sawoff Shotgun .

Meinhart was awarded a New York Scholarship as part of the Hans Koller Prize in 2009 .
