reception

On FAZ.net , the beginning of the series was criticized as "not very original", Larsen had "spelled out the genre crime fiction as if he wanted to make an educational film". Overall, however, the series is "solidly produced" and "credible". The “deliberately restless camera work” and “a number of close-ups”, which would increase the drama, were praised. Axel Bøyum plays his role convincingly.

Sandra Čapljak from Standard attested to the director that she was able to offer viewers “a slightly spicy introduction to the series without taking away the tension or appearing intrusive”; she emphasized the "diversity of characters" and called the series a "must-attend event for discerning ' Tatort ' fans and crime novices".
