Ezio Toffolutti (* 1944 in Venice ) is an Italian set designer , costume designer , director and painter .

Life

Toffolutti studied stage design and painting at the Accademia delle Belle Arti Venezia . After graduation, he worked as a designer and architect on urban planning and exhibition projects in Verona . In 1971 he went to the Volksbühne in Berlin / GDR .

He worked as a set and costume designer on the major European theatrical and opera stages in Berlin, Munich, Vienna, Paris, Rome, Brussels, Geneva, Zurich, Hamburg, Milan, Athens, Helsinki, Stockholm (among others with the directors Benno Besson , Hans Lietzau , Harry Kupfer , Johannes Schaaf , Nikolaus Lehnhoff , Michael Kakyoannis , Jérôme Savary , Claude Stratz and Katharina Thalbach ).
