Félix Houphouët Boigny Peace Prize

The Félix Houphouët Boigny Peace Prize has been awarded annually since 1991 to institutions or personalities by UNESCO . The prize was founded in 1989 and named after the Ivorian President Félix Houphouët-Boigny .

It is awarded to people who have made a contribution to human rights and peace in the world and is endowed with 122,000 euros. If several winners are honored in one year, the sum is divided equally.

In addition to a gold medal, the award winners receive the associated certificate issued by UNESCO.
