Försterstein (Hanover)

The forester stone in Hannover is under monument protection standing memorial stone , which the forester Heinrich Ludwig Sabiel let (1792-1882) set up in the 19th century for themselves. Sabiel is not buried here, however, but in the cemetery in Giften near Sarstedt . The location of the Försterstein is Im Jagen 5 east of the Schwarzer Weg , in the forest area Bockmerholz south of the Hanoverian district Wülferode .

The inscription on the memorial stone reads:
"HL Sabiel / b. 1792 died 18 / Here at the Grinderwald and / Deister / He drew many beautiful Heister / He had no rest in the house / Diana waves him friendly / Much frost has suffered / To protect the forests / Has climbed many mountains / In let him lie quietly "
