The FC Gute is a Swedish football club from Visby . The club is the former football division of Visby IF Gute . The team competed in second class for several years.
history
In 1904 the IF Gute was founded in Visby . This merged in 1968 with the Wisby IF to the Visby IF Gute . Like the previous clubs, the football team of the newly formed club initially played exclusively in the lower class. In 1986 she rose as the season winner of the fourth division division 3 Norra Svealand in the third division, but missed relegation two years later. After the immediate resurgence, they made it through to the second division two years later. There the club ended its first season in the northern season in 1994 on the relegation place, but was able to prevail against Gällivare SK and IF Sylvia . In the following year, the team surprised as fourth in the table, but ended the 1996 season again on the relegation place. There were two wins against Piteå IF , after a 1-0 home win, they missed relegation in the second round with a 3-1 defeat in the second leg against Enköpings SK . In the meantime, the club had split up into its individual departments in 1995 and made the football department independent under the name Visby IF Gute FK .
In the following years Visby IF Gute established itself in the third division. The team fluctuated between relegation battle and promotion race. In 2000, only the better goal difference against Vallentuna BK saved from the relegation place, two years later the runner-up behind Väsby IK . As fourth in the third division Division 2 Östra Götaland , the team survived a league reform and qualified for the new third division Division 1, which will be played in two seasons .
