The FFV Fortuna Göcklingen is a women's football club from the local community Göcklingen in County Southern Wine Route .
history
In June 1968 the first women's soccer game took place in Göcklingen. The late honorary chairman of SV RW Göcklingen Otto Dausch had brought the team into being at that time. Initially, only friendly matches were played. The first official league game took place on May 15, 1971. In the 1984/85 season a championship was won for the first time, in the district class south. In the next few years many more successes followed.
To provide financial support, the Association for Women's and Girls' Football SV Göcklingen was founded in 1996 to financially support the women's football department of SV Rot-Weiß Göcklingen, which was promoted to the Regionalliga Südwest for the first time in the same year . In 1999 she won the Southwest German Football Association's trophy and thus qualified for the DFB Cup . There she had to play a qualifying round with five other clubs. The team was defeated there by SV Oberteuringen 1: 3. In 2007, the SV Rot-Weiß Göcklingen rose from the regional league for the first time. A year later, the rise succeeded. This time the club stayed in the league for three years. 2011 succeeded the third promotion in this league class to relegate three years later.
The work in the junior area was also extremely successful. In the past, Stefanie Dums and Janina Meisner, two players from Göcklingen, made it into one of the DFB's June races. The B-Juniors even made it into the Regionalliga Südwest. In 1996 the association was honored by the Sepp Herberger Foundation for excellent work in the female youth sector.
In 2013 the women's and girls' department founded an independent association, the FFV Fortuna Göcklingen 2013 eV founding chairman was Evi Häussel. In the same year, the team was immediately promoted to the regional league again, before the team had to relegate to the association league again in 2016.
Venues
The club played in the first 4 years on the field of FC BW Minderslachen. From the 2018/19 season, the club will be based at TV Hayna.
