The Fudbalski Klub Tekstilac Derventa ( Serbian Cyrillic : Фудбалски Клуб Teкcтилaц Дepвeнтa) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian football club from Derventa . The club currently plays in the second highest division of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Prva Liga RS .
General
The club was founded in 1919 as FK Dečko . After the Second World War , the name was changed to FK Tekstilac . The club entered the lower leagues of the former Yugoslavia . From 1960 to 1968 in particular, the club had a good and popular team that was able to achieve some regional successes. Since the breakup of Yugoslavia, the club has played in the leagues of the Republika Srpska . By winning the 2013/14 championship in the Druga Liga RS and the associated promotion to the Prva Liga RSthe FK Tekstilac celebrated its greatest success in the club's history. The club has never played higher. In the first season in the Prva Liga RS, the club was able to achieve a place in the top half of the table after initial difficulties. The good result was confirmed with a 3rd place in the following 2015/16 season.
