FON University

FON private university was founded in 2003 as the first private higher education institution in North Macedonia . The main campus is located in the capital of the Republic of North Macedonia - Skopje and covers an area of ​​30,000 m². In addition, FON also has educational institutions in Struga , Ohrid , Strumica and Gostivar .

The University of FON has eight faculties:

  • Faculty of Law
  • Faculty of Political Science, Diplomacy and Journalism
  • Faculty of Applied Foreign Languages
  • Faculty of Economics
  • Faculty of Computer Science
  • Faculty of Detectives and Security
  • Faculty of Sports and Sports Management
  • Faculty of Design and Multimedia

Studies at the faculties are carried out in accordance with the Bologna Declaration and ECTS . There are undergraduate and postgraduate courses and the doctoral course is in the process of accreditation (2010).

The university is trilingual, lectures and seminars are held in Macedonian , English and Albanian . In the academic year 2010/2011 the chairs for Spanish and Turkish languages ​​were filled.

The University of FON works with the University of Skopje and Universities of Turkey a . a. from Trakya University together. The University of FON is a co-founder of the ACEU - Alliance of Central Eastern Europe University .

Since the academic year 2010–2011, a double degree in the field of European integration and international relations can be obtained at the University of FON and the European Institute for Higher International Studies (IEHEI) in the second cycle of studies. The course includes study visits to the branches of the European Institute in Nice , Rome , Berlin and Istanbul .

The university is a member of the network of Balkan universities .
