List of universities in North Macedonia

This is a list of universities in North Macedonia .

After independence in 1991 the country had two universities, “St. Cyril and Method ”University in Skopje and “ St. Kliment von Ohrid “University in Bitola . After 2000, further state universities and numerous private universities were founded, this was made possible by the University Acts of 2000 and 2008.
