The Fröbel Group is a German group of companies that operates crèches , kindergartens , after-school care centers , projects for help with upbringing and other youth welfare institutions .

Basics

The Fröbel Group is made up of FRÖBEL eV , FRÖBEL Education and Upbringing gGmbH and FRÖBEL International GmbH . The pedagogy of the offers and services of the sponsor are based on the work of Friedrich Wilhelm August Fröbel . Around 15,000 children are currently being cared for in around 181 facilities. One focus of the Froebel group (1/3 of those supervised) is working with children under three years of age. The Fröbel Group's mission statement puts children's rights in the foreground.

The Union

In 1990 Fröbel eV was founded in Berlin. Three years later he took over kindergartens in the Senftenberg region . In 1995 and 1999 the kindergarten was expanded to include Berlin and Potsdam . At the same time, the establishment of branches in Frankfurt (Oder) and Leipzig began in the late 1990s . In 2009, when it took over two kindergartens in Sydney, the non-profit Fröbel Australia Ltd. founded as a foreign subsidiary.

The association is run by a full-time executive board and supported in its work by a supervisory board. The members of the supervisory board of FRÖBEL eV work exclusively on a voluntary basis for the association and bring experience and know-how from various areas of society to work at FRÖBEL. In the advisory board of FRÖBEL eV, which meets twice a year, nine experts from business and science and child and youth welfare currently contribute technical advice and practical expertise.

The association is a recognized sponsor of youth welfare and a member of the Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband . Since January 2014 Fröbel eV has been a member of the National Coalition Germany - network for the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child

The Froebel group of companies

The day care centers and youth welfare facilities are operated by Fröbel Bildung und Erziehungs gGmbH , the non-profit subsidiary of Fröbel eV, which was founded in September 2015 from the merger of all regional companies in Berlin , Cottbus , Hamburg , Frankfurt (Oder) , Cologne , Leipzig , Potsdam , Senftenberg , Essen and Munich emerged . In addition, there is Fröbel International GmbH , which, together with the Klett Group, realizes private-sector offers for company childcare in Poznań ( Poland ) and Sydney as well as Melbourne ( Australia ). Since 2018, FRÖBEL has been running a technical school for social education in Berlin through its subsidiary FRÖBEL Akademie GmbH.
