Fabian Ammon (born November 3, 1985 in Schwäbisch Gmünd ) is a German soccer player . The central defender has been playing at TSV Berg in the Württemberg League since 2014 .
Career
Ammon comes from Schwäbisch Gmünd and grew up there. In his youth he was a member of the Schwäbisch Gmünder Jugendgemeinderat , but was expelled there in June 2003 for five unexcused absenteeism. He later studied at the Schwäbisch Gmünd University of Education .
In 2006 Helmut Dietterle , sports director of VfR Aalen , signed Fabian Ammon for the second team of VfR in the then sixth class national league . With this, Ammon rose to the Württemberg Association League . He then trained with the first team again and again, making his debut in the then third-class Regionalliga Süd on the last day of the 2006/07 season in a 5-2 home win against FK Pirmasens . In the following years he was still used almost exclusively in association league games of the second team, where he became a leading player. When eleven professional players were temporarily injured or suspended and thus failed in the final phase of the 2008/09 season, Ammon moved up again to the squad of the first team, which is now playing in the newly founded third division , and completed two professional games. After relegation to the fourth-class regional league at the end of the season and the subsequent rebuilding of the team, in which only three players from the old team were taken over, he no longer played a role in the first team and was used again in the association league.
After a total of four years at VfR Aalen, Ammon changed clubs within the association league in 2010 and signed a one-year contract with SV Göppingen . Here he played together with his childhood friend Patrick Krätschmer and reached fourth place in the table with the team at the end of the season, three points behind the first place qualifying for promotion to the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg . Ammon dissolved his extended contract with SV Göppingen in July 2011 and moved to the first division club 1. FC Normannia Gmünd together with Krätschmer . After only eight appearances in the first half of the season, the central defender returned to SV Göppingen in January 2012. Due to work, he left the sports club again in January 2014. For the 2014/15 season, Ammon joined the TSV Berg club .
