Helmut Dietterle
Helmut Dietterle (born June 2, 1951 in Neuler ) is a former German soccer player and current coach.
Athletic career
Dietterle first played for VfR Aalen , with whom he was promoted to the 1st amateur league in 1972 and won the WFV Cup in 1971/72 - in the 5-3 final win against FV Ravensburg, he shone as a three-time goalscorer. From 1974 to 1980 he was active at VfB Stuttgart , where he made his Bundesliga debut on August 24, 1974 when the Swabians played against VfL Bochum . In total, the midfielder played 42 games in the Bundesliga and 26 appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga .
Already as a player of VfR Aalen Dietterle was appointed to the German national soccer team of amateurs on June 13, 1973 at the international match of the DFB amateurs in Offenbach against Malta . With his 14th use on September 26, 1978 in Bielefeld against China A ended his career in the amateur national team.
Immediately after the end of his career in 1980, he hired VfB Stuttgart as an assistant coach and supported Jürgen Sundermann's coaching team . Later he was mainly active in the Württemberg amateur football. In 1991 he took over as head coach of his former club VfR Aalen, which he was in charge of for three seasons. In the summer of 1994 he moved to Sportfreunde Dorfmerkingen . In 1997 he led the club into the Württemberg Association League , where he immediately became runner-up and, following successes over ASV Durlach, rose to the Baden-Württemberg Oberliga in the subsequent promotion round .
As manager (sporting director) he worked again at the regional league club VfR Aalen , but was dismissed in May 2008 after the disappointing 2007/08 season from Aalen's point of view and personal differences with coach Edgar Schmitt .
Helmut Dietterle has been supporting the aid project We Help Africa as Sports Ambassadors since September 2009 .
From the 2010/11 season until June 30, 2012, Dietterle was the coach of the first division soccer club 1. FC Normannia Gmünd . He reached the final of the WFV Cup against the third division club 1. FC Heidenheim with Normannia . In addition, with Helmut Dietterle, Normannia achieved the best placement in the league in their club's history. At the end of the season, coach Dietterle and Normannia parted ways. In the following year, the Normannia rose from the Association League. After an engagement at TSV Essingen , he returned to Sportfreunde Dorfmerkingen in 2014. He won the WFV-Pokal 2016/17 with the national league team at that time with a 3-1 final success against the three leagues higher playing Stuttgarter Kickers and was promoted to the association league in the same year, in 2019 he returned as association league champion with the club in the Oberliga Baden -Wuerttemberg back.
