Fabian Wendelin Bruskewitz (born September 6, 1935 in Milwaukee , Wisconsin ) is an American clergyman of the Roman Catholic Church and Bishop Emeritus of Lincoln .

Life

The Rector of the Pontifical North America College , Martin John O'Connor , ordained him on May 8, 1960 as a deacon . He was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee on July 17, 1960 by Cardinal Vicar Luigi Cardinal Traglia .

Pope John Paul II. Appointed Bruskewitz March 24, 1992 as Bishop of Lincoln . The Archbishop of Omaha , Daniel Eugene Sheehan , ordained him episcopal on May 13 of the same year ; Co - consecrators were Glennon Patrick Flavin , Old Bishop of Lincoln, and Leo Joseph Brust , Auxiliary Bishop of Milwaukee.

On September 14, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI. the resignation submitted by Fabian Wendelin Bruskewitz for reasons of age.
