Fabian von Ostau

Fabian von Ostau (born July 3, 1595 - † January 22, 1645 in Königberg ) was Prussian Chancellor .

Life

Origin and family

Fabian was a member of the Prussian noble family von Ostau . His parents were the heir to Kleszowen Sigmund von Ostau (1551–1598) and Anna, née von Bonfart from the house of Kremlack (1566–1592). His first marriage in 1619 was Benigna von Kalckstein from the Partsch family (1589–1638) and his second marriage in 1640 with Dorothea, born von Kalnein from the Kilgis family (1606–1643), widowed Christoph von Kunheim auf Lablacken († 1634 ). At least one son, the Tribunal Vice-President Hans Sigmund von Ostau (1625–1673), emerged from his first marriage.

Career

Ostau 1828 was Hofgerichtsrat and since 1637 Hofrichter On June 1, 1641, he was Senior Researcher and on October 13, 1641 Chancellor of the Duchy of Prussia. On June 1, 1641, he was promoted to the Real Secret Budget Council .

He is also said to have been a poet .
