Fabiola Gerpott

Fabiola H. Gerpott (born November 20, 1988 in Düsseldorf ) is a German economist and holder of the Chair of Leadership at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management.

Career

Gerpott studied business psychology at the Ruhr University Bochum and economics at the Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen. She then worked at Daimler AG in strategic human resource management and was responsible, among other things, for the scientific support of a program for intergenerational qualification and the EY ALTER exhibition for a positive handling of the implications of demographic change . In addition, she did her doctorate in a double doctoral program (“Double PhD”) in business administration at Jacobs University Bremen and organizational psychology at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. She then worked as an assistant professor at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Before moving to WHU, she headed the organizational behavior department at the Technical University of Berlin as a junior professor (tenure track). In April 2019, Fabiola H. Gerpott was appointed professor to the chair for personnel management at WHU in Düsseldorf. Since October 2019 she has also been the spokesperson for the Management Group.

Research priorities

In her research, Fabiola H. Gerpott deals with micro-dynamics in organizations, among other things in the interactions between managers and employees, in learning processes, and in the management of diversity . In addition, from 2020 to 2022, she will lead a project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) to analyze the communication behavior of female and male executives in employee appraisals.
