The University of Applied Sciences of the BFI Vienna, University of Economics, Management and Finance , as an economic, tertiary educational institute, offers ten bachelor's and six master's courses as well as a comprehensive executive education program in the field of further education (partly in English). Around 2,200 students are currently attending the university, around 70 percent of them part-time. The FH location is in the immediate vicinity of the Vienna Prater, in the 2nd district of Leopoldstadt , some courses are held in the Media Quarter Marx in the 3rd district of Landstrasse .

Foundation and development

The FH of the BFI Vienna was founded in 1996. The founding course was the diploma course “European Economy and Management”. In 1998 a diploma course in "Banking and Finance" and in 2001 a diploma course in "Project Management and Information Technology" was started. The range of economics courses was gradually expanded. Of the ten bachelor's programs, 2 courses are held in English, while 3 of the master's courses are conducted in English.

Bachelor courses

A bachelor's degree offers a practice-oriented academic degree after 6 semesters. The courses are offered full-time or part-time.

Masters courses

All master’s courses at the University of Economics, Management and Finance are organized on a part-time basis. As an internationally oriented university, there are 3 master’s courses in English. It is possible to complete a double degree (two degrees) and a PHD with the University of Bologna - depending on the respective course.
