The fine fin cardinalfish ( Zoramia leptacantha ) or neon cardinalfish is a schooling fish from the family of cardinalfish (Apogonidae).
He lives in the Red Sea and the Indo-Pacific , from Mozambique to the Ryūkyū Islands and Tonga . During the day it hides between branch-shaped hard corals to hunt for plankton at dusk . It often swims in mixed schools with the cardinalfish Archamia fucata and Archamia zosterophora .
Like all cardinalfish, the gourdfin cardinalfish are mouthbrooders . They become six inches long.
