Favillar is a Scottish hamlet in the Council Area of Moray and the traditional county of Morayshire . It is located about seven kilometers south of Aberlour , 60 km west-southwest of Inverness and 70 km east-northeast of Aberdeen in the important whiskey region Speyside . The Allt-a-Bhainne whiskey distillery, operated by the international Pernod Ricard group, has been located in Favillar since 1975 . The town of Dufftown, which is important for whiskey production, is about six kilometers away.
