The 2015/16 field season began on September 19, 2015. The joint finals for women and men took place on June 4 and 5, 2016 in Mannheim ; the official host was the Mannheimer HC .

Ascent and descent

The last-placed TSV Mannheim and Eintracht Braunschweig are relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga 16/17 . In return, Uhlenhorst Mülheim and the Rüsselsheimer Ruder-Klub 08 are promoted to the Bundesliga 16/17 .
