Felix Adolf Hoppe-Seyler , also Felix Hoppe-Seyler (born September 25, 1898 in Kiel , † November 11, 1945 in Greifswald ) was a German physiologist .

Life

Felix Adolf Hoppe-Seyler was a son of the internist Georg (Karl Felix) Hoppe-Seyler (1860-1940) from Kiel and the grandson of Felix Hoppe-Seyler . From 1919 to 1923 he studied in Kiel , Freiburg i. Br. And Tübingen Medicine. In 1930 Hoppe-Seyler qualified as a professor in the field of physiological chemistry. He became director of the physiological-chemical laboratory in Würzburg . From 1934 to 1945 he continued the work of his famous grandfather as full professor and director of the Physiological Institute at the University of Greifswald .

After 1945 he was appointed dean of the medical faculty. Diabetes mellitus led to his early death.
