Ten years later, in October 1948, the first Fellbach Autumn was celebrated in its current form, although the basic process has hardly changed to this day. Erich Schlenker and the mayor of Fellbach at the time, Max Graser, are considered to be the spiritual fathers of Fellbach autumn. In their spirit, it is celebrated in the tradition of the old "Wengerter spirit", which results from the history of Fellbach as a vineyard village. Thanksgiving is also the focus of the celebrations. a. There was also a thanksgiving speech and a small memorial service for the founding fathers of Fellbach autumn.
In the course of the Fellbach autumn, the oldest citizens of Fellbach are honored every year. In addition, Fellbach's partner cities are integrated into the autumn events every year. In contrast to other local festivals, only wine is served at Fellbacher Herbst.

Motto and pageant
Fellbach Autumn is celebrated under a different motto every year, which has an impact on the parade, as the floats and parade participants base their contributions on the annual autumn theme. In front of the motto, the current year of Fellbach autumn is also given. Traditionally, however, the pageant begins with the same words that Dr. Max Graser had opened the first Fellbacher Herbst: "Now brings the car into town that has loaded wine and fruit." Another highlight that recurs every year is the rural youth's harvest wagon during the parade.
