Ferdinand Eger
Ferdinand Eger (born December 22, 1868 in Laibach , † October 2, 1948 in Graz ) was an Austrian lawyer and politician .
Life
Born the son of a businessman , Eger studied law in Vienna after attending grammar school in Ljubljana . During his studies in 1887 he became a member of the Association of German University Students in Carniola , which later became the Carniola Graz fraternity . He was promoted to Dr. iur. obtained his doctorate and worked as a lawyer in Adelsberg and Laibach after completing his studies . In 1905 he became chairman of the German Association in Laibach and in 1908 chairman of the German People's Council for Carniola . From 1908 to 1918 he was a member of parliament for theKrainer Landtag , from 1923 to 1927 member of the Greater German People's Party in the Styrian Landtag . From 1933 to 1935 he was President of the Styrian Bar Association .
