Ferdinand Gottfried Droste zu Vischering (* around 1715 , † after 1755 ) was canon in Osnabrück and Münster .

Life

Origin and family

Ferdinand Gottfried Droste zu Vischering came from the noble family Droste zu Vischering , one of the most important in Westphalia . Numerous well-known personalities have emerged from him. He was the son of Maximilian Heidenreich Droste to Vischering and his wife Maria Antonia / Gaudentia Wilhelmina Josefa to Büren and Ringelstein from Schenking to Beveren and Asbeck (1687–1718). His brother Adolf Heidenreich was Drost and builder of the Erbdrostenhof in Münster. His sister Anna Elisabeth was married to Franz Otto von Korff . His half-brother Clemens August was a canon in Münster.

Career and work

In 1737 renounced Anton Heinrich Hermann von Velen favor of Ferdinand to his Osnabrücker Dompräbende . With the resignation of Canon Hermann Arnold von Vittinghoff-Schell , he came into possession of a cathedral canonical in Münster in 1741 . In 1755 Ferdinand Gottfried renounced in Münster in favor of Friedrich Wilhelm von Westphalen and in Osnabrück in favor of Franz Karl von Landsberg zu Erwitte .
