Ferdinand Joseph Anton Maria Reichsgraf von Plettenberg (born January 19, 1729 in Munster ; † March 10, 1777 in Hunnesrück ) was canon in Munster , Paderborn and Hildesheim, as well as official doss in Hunnesrück.

Life

As the son of Friedrich Bernhard Wilhelm von Plettenberg (1695–1730) and his wife Agnes Sophia von Westerholt zu Lembeck (1696–1768), Ferdinand Joseph grew up with his siblings, including Joseph Clemens (1721–1786, treasurer and official dean) and Clemens August (1724–1778, Canon) in one of the oldest and most important noble families in Westphalia . After a two-year period in Rome, he received in 1752 by the Turnar a Dompräbende in Münster Cathedral to which it because of insolvency for a reasonable monetary payment in 1772 forgo needed. In 1762 he received a prebend in Hildesheim Cathedral and became a secret councilor on January 1, 1764 . He was entrusted with the office of Drosten in Hunnesrück on March 17, 1766. Almost a year before his death, he took over the office of Cathedral Coaster in Paderborn.
