Ferdinand Leopold Carl Freiherr von Biedenfeld (born May 5, 1788 in Karlsruhe , † March 8, 1862 in Weimar ) was a German poet, dramaturge and publicist .

Life

Ferdinand von Biedenfeld was a son of the grand-ducal colonel of Baden and general commander of the conscription of the Grand Duchy of Baden Ferdinand von Biedenfeld . He studied from 1807 in Heidelberg , where he became a member of the Corps Rhenania , and in Freiburg , was theater director in Berlin , Magdeburg , Breslau and from 1835 in Weimar . As a publicist, he edited the magazine Der Elegante .

family

Ferdinand von Biedenfeld was the last of the Biedenfelds in Württemberg and Baden. His younger brother Ernst (* 1793) was executed in 1849 as a participant in the Baden uprising .
