Ferenc Somodi (* 29. December 1955 in Tatabanya , Hungary ; † 29. August 2014 ) was a Hungarian boxer in the super heavyweight . He celebrated his greatest success in 1985 when he became European Champion in the Hungarian capital Budapest . Somodi defeated the Bulgarian Petar Stoymenov 3-2, the Yugoslav Azis Salihu 5-0 and the Soviets 4-1 on points.
Somodi died in 2014 at the age of 58.
