Fernando José Penteado

Fernando José Penteado (born July 7, 1934 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian Roman Catholic clergyman and former bishop of Jacarezinho .

Life

Fernando José Penteado was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of São Paulo on December 8, 1960 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him on April 2, 1979 auxiliary bishop in São Paulo and titular bishop of Turres Ammeniae . The Pope personally donated him episcopal ordination on May 27 of the same year ; Co - consecrators were Duraisamy Simon Lourdusamy , Secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , and Eduardo Martínez Somalo , substitute for the State Secretariat .

On July 5, 2000, he was appointed Bishop of Jacarezinho . On June 23, 2010, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
