The Roman Catholic Diocese of Jacarezinho ( lat. : Dioecesis Iacarezinhoënsis ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese based in Jacarezinho . It includes the following municipalities of the state of Paraná : Jacarezinho, Abatiá, Andirá, Arapoti, Bandeirantes, Barra do Jacaré, Cambará, Carlópolis, Conselheiro Mairinck, Guapirama, Ibaiti, Itambaracá, Jaboti, Jaguariaíva, Japira, Joaquimund Táão do , Quatiguá, Ribeirão Claro, Ribeirão do Pinhal, Salto do Itararé, Santa Amélia, Santana do Itararé, Santo Antônio da Platina, São José da Boa Vista, Sengés, Siqueira Campos, Tomazina and Wenceslau Braz.

history

Pope Pius XI founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Quum in dies numerus on May 10, 1926 from cession of territory of the Archdiocese of Curitiba , to which it was also subordinated as a suffragan diocese.

On February 1, 1956, it lost parts of its territory to the dioceses of Londrina and Maringa .

On October 31, 1970, it became part of the Ecclesiastical Province of the Archdiocese of Londrina . On May 26, 1973 another piece of land lost to the diocese of Cornélio Procópio .
