Ernesto de Paula

Ernesto de Paula (born February 5, 1899 in São Paulo , Brazil , † December 31, 1994 ) was Bishop of Piracicaba .

Life

Ernesto de Paula received on 14 August 1927, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On November 22, 1941, Pope Pius XII appointed him . to the Bishop of Jacarezinho . The Archbishop of São Paulo , José Gaspar d'Afonseca e Silva , donated him episcopal ordination on January 4, 1942 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of São Carlos do Pinhal , Gastão Liberal Pinto , and the Bishop of Campinas , Paulo de Tarso Campos .

Pius XII. appointed him on June 30, 1945 as the first bishop of Piracicaba. On January 9, 1960, Pope John XXIII. the resignation put forward by Ernesto de Paula and appointed him titular bishop of Hierocaesarea .

Ernesto de Paula attended all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
