Aniger de Francisco de Maria (born June 7, 1911 in Campinas , Brazil , † April 17, 1985 ) was a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Piracicaba .

Life

Aniger de Francisco de Maria received on 31 December 1933, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On May 29, 1960 Pope John XXIII appointed him . to the Bishop of Piracicaba . The bishop of São Carlos , Ruy Serra , ordained him episcopal on June 29 of the same year . Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Barra do Piraí , Agnelo Rossi , and Vicente Ângelo José Marchetti Zioni , auxiliary bishop in São Paulo .

He participated in all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council as a council father.

Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation due to illness on January 11, 1984.
