Artificial vagina
An artificial vagina , more abstractly called a masturbator , is a device that simulates a vagina . The device is used as a sex toy and for artificial insemination in cattle breeding .
Use as a sex toy
Artificial vagines are masturbation aids for men that are offered in various shapes and qualities . The spectrum ranges from leather to latex to soft plastics. Some of the devices are equipped with a battery-operated vibrator . In their outward appearance, artificial vaginas are designed to look like a vulva in order to make a realistic impression. Some models also have a replica of a hymen .
A special form of the artificial vagina is the travel pussy (German name), which is produced in Denmark by the engineer Kim Petersen. The German name refers to the fact that the toy can be easily folded up and stowed away when empty. WaterWoman (Danish name) is a pink plastic bag with a double wall and a 24 cm long invagination. The plastic tube is filled with water at body temperature, similar to a hot water bottle. The bags with lubricant gel are sold via vending machines in public toilets on highways, in sex shops or by mail order. The main target group are truck drivers and men with long-term disabilities. Troops deployed abroad are also supplied.
The one-time-use masturbation aid Onacup, which originally came from Japan, is also a kind of artificial vagina.
The colloquial term sailor's bride for an artificial vagina goes back to the myth that seafarers in particular who have been separated from their female partners for a long time use such aids for masturbation. Another slang term is pocket pussy .
Problem materials and sexual hygiene
The Cologne ECO Environment Institute examined various plastic dildos on behalf of the magazine Stern . After that, the dildos contained considerable concentrations of the plasticizer phthalate and solvents such as toluene . The journal Ökotest 2006 came to a similar result . Eleven of 22 tested vibrators (dildos with vibration motors) were rated negative because of phenolic and organotin compounds (e.g. bisphenol A and tributyltin compounds ).
Since many artificial vagines are made from the same materials, these examinations also apply accordingly to them. Therefore, also for hygienic reasons, regular cleaning of a reusable artificial vagina before and after use and, if necessary, use together with a condom is recommended.
Use in livestock
An artificial vagina is used in particular in cattle , horse and pig breeding to obtain semen from male breeding animals. The process is blind leap called, as opposed to, natural service called natural Begattungsvorgang.
The artificial vagina is built into a so-called phantom , which is mated by the male animal. Alternatively, the bull in cattle breeding is fed a castrated animal called Untermann , which the breeding animal mounts.
