Bayreuth telecommunications tower

The Bayreuth telecommunications tower is a 53 meter high telecommunications tower that is not accessible to the public . It is located on the 528 meter high Oschenberg three kilometers northeast of the city of Bayreuth .

In addition to the non-public directional radio , the transmitter is also used to broadcast VHF signals for the city of Bayreuth and the surrounding area.

In the course of the DVB-T conversion in 2008, the GRP cylinder and the top part of the steel structure were dismantled. This reduced the height of the tower from 83 to 53 meters.
