The telecommunications tower Witzhelden is a 134 meter high telecommunications tower ( type tower ) of the type 2/73 of the German radio tower made of reinforced concrete in Witzhelden , a district of Leichlingen (Rhineland) in the Rheinisch-Bergisch district .

Up to a height of 102.90 m, the tower consists of a conical reinforced concrete shaft on which a 31 m high cylindrical reinforced concrete shaft is placed. The total height of the tower is 133.90 m. A two-storey pulpit for the technical equipment is between 74.20 and 82.90 m high. The two main antenna platforms are attached around the pulpit. They have a diameter of 33 m and heights of 75 m and 83 m. The tower shaft is suitable for holding further smaller antennas.

Inside the tower there is an elevator up to a height of 80 m and a reinforced concrete staircase. It was built in 1975 and is nicknamed Rich. Its location is 245 m above sea level north of the Witzhelden village of Flamerscheid. The tower is used for directional radio and as a VHF transmitter . From the top of the tower is broadcast on the VHF frequency 95.7 MHz in 1.0 kW WDR 2 broadcast. There is a D1 station , an E-Plus station and an O2 station on the tower . Until 1998 was EUR signal on 87.336 MHz sent with a power of 16 kW. In addition, amateur radio DB0AIM is broadcast on a 70 centimeter band . The TV station Witzhelden was one kilometer away in a south-westerly direction .
